Key Responsibilities of the ICU Registered Nurse

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Arterial line and central line care/management
• Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive drips
• BiPAP/CPAP and ventilated patient care
• Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• Suctioning (ETT, NT) and applying isolation precautions/PPE

Requirements of the ICU Registered Nurse

• Must have a valid NY License in hand
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent ICU experience
• Experience with AllScripts EMR preferred
• No background or license hits
