We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting attorneys and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our legal practice. Position Overview Provide administrative and clerical support across a variety of legal matters. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing deadlines, court filings, and case-related tasks. Key Responsibilities Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence Assist with drafting and filing litigation documents (including e-filing) Maintain and organize case files (physical and electronic) Schedule client meetings, court dates, and deadlines Track deadlines, court dates, and litigation calendars Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and other parties Assist with filing documents (including e-filing when applicable) Conduct basic legal research as needed Handle general administrative tasks such as answering phones and managing calendars Qualifications Previous experience in a legal or administrative role preferred Litigation experience strongly preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information High attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
