Make a difference! Looking for caring people to make a hospice patient smile Serenity Hospice Care invites compassionate volunteers to join our teams across New Jersey, from facilities to home visits, and support patients, families, and their own communities. Volunteer Types Administrative Volunteers : Perform clerical duties such as filing, answering phones, organizing supplies, handling mail, and supporting promotional material. Works from our office at 56 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, NJ. Direct Patient Volunteers : Visit patients in facilities, offer companionship, read, watch TV, talk, listen, and share your special talents (e.g., pet therapy, music, art, knitting). Volunteers are reimbursed for travel time. Volunteer Responsibilities Provide heartfelt companionship to patients and families. Engage in conversations, reading, watching TV, or gentle touches. Assist with clerical tasks as needed for administrative volunteers. Bring a smile or a peaceful moment to each patient encounter. Help maintain a welcoming environment for patients and staff. Participate in training and orientation sessions, as required. How to Get Involved We work around your schedule, time, and location preferences.
