What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with store leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, report suspicious behavior, and assist with access control, opening and closing procedures, and other assigned security-related duties for a retail location.
• Support loss prevention awareness by observing high-traffic areas, helping to address policy violations, and providing visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
