DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - ATHLETICS ADVANCEMENT
The University of Oklahoma Foundation, Inc. reports to the Director of Development, Athletics Advancement. The Development Officer will manage a portfolio of major gift donors ($25,000+) to raise funds for the strategic priorities of the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department, including seat‑related contributions for OU Athletics events. Responsibilities: Solicit and procure philanthropic gifts, including facility, program, planned, scholarship, and premium seating commitments. Continuously seek private fundraising opportunities for OU Athletics. Collaborate closely with Athletics Advancement team members, OU Foundation colleagues, and athletic department leadership to implement fundraising strategy and meet goals. Maintain regular communication and stewardship with major donors. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. At least one year of experience in fundraising, sales, nonprofit, higher education, and/or communications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and work occasional evenings and weekends. Commitment to an on‑site role in Norman, Oklahoma.
