LPN – Medical Surgical

Shift: Days, 3x12 — 07:00–19:00

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• License: Active New York single-state LPN license required
• Certification: BLS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care experience within the last 2 years
• EMR: EPIC experience required
• Skills: Vital signs, pain assessment, I&O medication administration (oral, IM, SQ, NG/G-tube, topical/otic/ocular); oxygen via nasal cannula; basic respiratory care; feeding tube management; enteral meds; basic wound care and drain management (JP/Hemovac); Foley catheter insertion/urine collection; specimen labeling; telemetry monitoring; 12-lead EKG; IV therapy with pumps; blood glucose monitoring; isolation precautions, physical restraints; communicate changes to RN/MD

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the supervision and guidance of registered nursing staff. Perform nursing duties such as monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities. Ensure patients' comfort and safety while documenting care provided. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members about patient conditions and care needs. Assist in the promotion of health and wellness in patients.

Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. Holiday requirement: Available every other holiday, if needed. Floating: Required to float within skillset. Background checks: Reviewed case-by-case. COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
