Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Progressive Care Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 3rd 12-hour nights, every other weekend, float as needed Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Requires current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). Certifications: - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent. - AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent is required. Must-Have: - Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, as obtained through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse. - Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations. Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The position involves adapting essential functions based on the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. The Registered Nurse must be able to float as needed and work every other weekend as part of the schedule. Essential skills include nursing theory, nursing practice, clinical competence, and patient care management. An Associate's degree in nursing is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. No preferred certifications or licensure are specified.
