We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead AI/ML Engineer with over 7 years of experience to spearhead the design and implementation of large-scale, strategic AI solutions. . Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $85K - $90K/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications. Collaborate with teams in other departments to identify and prioritize requirements. Develop best practices for the company and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders. Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create technological artefacts in response to production issues. Requirements 7+ years of demonstrable experience in Python development. Additional Java is also a plus Strong knowledge of Python languages and web API development frameworks like Spring, RestAPIs, and RESTEASY Working knowledge of database technologies (Redis and Oracle). Vector database is a plus, Linux OS and Windows. Microsoft copilot, AI foundry, copilot studio and Azure is a BIG plus. Demonstrable expertise in various technical areas, including programming, network administration, and software installation and configuration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organizational capabilities. Experience with IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. Familiarity with AI technologies (RAG and LLMs are a big plus). Our application is Python/Java but using LLM to deliver value. Understand Model development with Generative AI such as GPT, Llama index, Langchain etc. OpenShift container experience is a plus. Desired Qualifications A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Java Certified Professional (OCP). Knowledge of container or cloud computing technologies (Red Hat OpenShift container platform, Azure). Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum). Experience with CI/CD DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities.
