Assistant General Manager

AGM Compensation range is $70,000-$85,000/year + 10% bonus potential. The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. As an Assistant General Manager, you’ll help oversee a multi-faceted high-volume full-service restaurant, with a retail component and Wine Club program. As a Cooper’s Hawk Brand Ambassador, you’ll be responsible for executing exceptional operations during shift execution, from the food we serve from our scratch kitchen to the guest service we provide in our restaurant. You’ll provide Management and Hourly Team Members with leadership and development, while partnering closely with the General Manager to achieve restaurant goals and build the Wine Club Community by educating our guests on the program and inviting them to join. Everyday Benefits Program to include insurance coverage (pet, life, auto, home/property) and employee discounts on goods and services Employee Referral Bonus Program Milestones Recognition Program Luxury Car Incentive for Team Member Development for General Managers and Executive Kitchen Managers Annual Destination Conference for General Managers and Executive Kitchen Managers Career Development Opportunities What You’ll Do Oversee overall restaurant operations and complex departments including Service and Tasting Room Adhere to policies and manage assigned operating systems Ensure collaboration between kitchen and front of house operations Represent company values and create a respectful, positive, and professional work environment Manage people by: Participating in hourly team member hiring Training and verifying team members’ understanding of Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants Reviewing and approving front of house department schedules in a timely manner Developing other Managers, including all Restaurant and Kitchen Managers Be responsible for overseeing training for Managers in Development, Lead Restaurant Trainers and new Team Members Focus on service & food standards and assist General Manager with weekly inventory procedures when needed Be responsible for maximizing financial and operational results, as well as weekly financial reporting and inventory audits with General Manager oversight Build and maintain Wine Club Community, by ensuring our Front of House Team Members have the training and resources needed to educate guests about our wine club program and invite them to join Effectively operate computer systems including a POS System, Online Team Member Scheduler, Inventory/Ordering software and the Microsoft Office Suite Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment and food safety What You’ll Need 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant. Scratch kitchen experience preferred A minimum age requirement of 21 years Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to read, understand and communicate in English Demonstrates financial acumen Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Is results-driven; able to coach team to hit restaurant targets (i.e. Wine Club Community growth) Preferred certifications include ServSafe and state/local licensing requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Must be able to stand for at least 10 hours per shift Must have the ability to work 50-60 hours per week Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays Maintains a professional image by adhering to guidelines listed in the Team Member Handbook Cooper’s Hawk is an equal opportunity employer.
