Business Banker

Business BankerThe Business Banker is responsible for developing, managing, and growing relationships with small to middle-market business clients through the origination, underwriting, and servicing of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) loans. This role focuses on business development, credit analysis, relationship management, and cross-selling deposit and treasury management solutions to support client growth and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage relationships with business clients to identify lending and banking opportunities.Originate, structure, negotiate, and close C&I loans.Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral to assess creditworthiness.Prepare and present credit packages for approval in accordance with bank policy.Manage an existing portfolio while maintaining strong asset quality and risk management practices.Generate new loan and deposit growth through networking, referrals, and community involvement.Cross-sell treasury management, deposit, and other commercial banking products.Conduct regular client and prospect calls to deepen relationships and identify opportunities.Monitor loan performance, financial reporting, and covenant compliance.Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Average of 2MM to 8MM per deal.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.3+ years of commercial banking, business banking, or C&I lending experience.Strong credit underwriting, financial analysis, and cash flow analysis skills.Experience evaluating business financial statements and tax returns.Proven business development and relationship management abilities.Knowledge of commercial loan structures, documentation, and risk management.Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.Preferred SkillsC&I LendingBusiness DevelopmentCredit Analysis & UnderwritingCash Flow AnalysisFinancial Statement AnalysisPortfolio ManagementTreasury ManagementRelationship ManagementRisk AssessmentCommercial Banking Products & Services
