Meriwether Godsey está buscando un Cocinero de Preparación de Tiempo Completo responsable de la preparación, cocina y presentación de comidas diarias, así como eventos especiales y catering de alta gama en una escuela privada diurna en Richmond, VA. Debe poder trabajar de la siguiente manera: de lunes a viernes, de 7 a.m. a 3 p.m., con algunas noches y fines de semana requeridos.
Qué harás:
Realizar tareas rutinarias en la cocina y seguir la lista de representantes creada para planificar tareas
Etiquetar y almacenar todos los ingredientes en los estantes para organizarlos y facilitar el acceso
Preparar los ingredientes para cocinar lavando y picando verduras, cortando carne y otras preparaciones de comidas.
Configurar las estaciones de trabajo y los ingredientes para que los alimentos se puedan preparar de acuerdo con las recetas.
Realizar tareas básicas de cocina, cómo reducir salsas y sancochar alimentos.
Preparar platos sencillos, como ensaladas y platos principales.
Tomar y registrar las temperaturas, siguiendo todos los estándares requeridos de higiene y manipulación de alimentos para garantizar la seguridad de los alimentos.
Asistir con la organización y el saneamiento de refrigeradores, congeladores y almacenes: todos los artículos cubiertos, etiquetados y fechados.
Mantener las áreas de trabajo organizadas, limpiando y desinfectando las áreas y equipos de trabajo.
Asistir a las reuniones de producción todos los días y ofrecer información sobre la utilización de sobrantes, la eficiencia, la calidad del producto, etc.
Realizar todas las tareas de acuerdo con las mejores prácticas de seguridad alimentaria y saneamiento.

Qué necesitas:
Diploma de escuela secundaria o su equivalente
Se prefieren 2-3 años de experiencia previa en preparación de alimentos.
Certificación ServSafe®, principios de las técnicas de producción de alimentos
Capacidad para medir productos y convertir unidades de medida.
Conocimiento del equipo de cocina comercial y cómo realizar el mantenimiento y la limpieza de rutina.
