Description: This position involves working in a unit with a medical-surgical level of care. It is a fast-paced environment with a focus on patients requiring ER holding. The nursing staff will be responsible for maintaining patient ratios of 1:4. Patient demographics primarily include adults and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 12 patients with 8 beds available. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services among others. The role may require floating to similar units based on patient care needs. Travelers will be oriented briefly on the unit. A strong emphasis is placed on patient care and collaboration among healthcare teams.
