Staff Data Scientist - Payments

Salary: $195,000 - 257,500 per year Requirements:

• We bring 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• We have advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or R.
• We possess deep expertise in statistical modeling, experimentation, causal inference, and other quantitative techniques.
• We have a strong track record of independently leading large-scale analytical and data science initiatives from ambiguous questions to measurable business results.
• We excel at influencing product strategy, business decisions, and senior stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.
• We have experience building scalable data products, analytical frameworks, and self-service capabilities that increase organizational leverage.
• We demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, along with strong attention to detail and data quality.
• We preferably bring deep experience with payments products, payment networks, fintech, or financial services platforms.
• We preferably have experience analyzing blockchain datasets, onchain transaction activity, and public ledger data.

• We partner with the Payments team to design and develop foundational datasets, metrics, and analytical frameworks that guide product strategy and business decisions.
• We analyze customer behavior, product adoption, and transaction activity to uncover actionable insights that improve payment experiences and support business growth.
• We research onchain payments ecosystems, blockchain transaction data, and competitor payment solutions to inform product development and market positioning.
• We lead strategic analyses that identify new opportunities for product innovation, operational efficiency, and revenue expansion.
• We build scalable reporting, dashboarding, and automation solutions using SQL, Python, and business intelligence tools to increase organizational leverage.
• We communicate analytical findings through compelling visualizations and data storytelling for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• We influence product and business strategy by collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Business leaders to drive data-informed decisions.
• We operate as a staff individual contributor and trusted subject matter expert, shaping the future of our payments products through insight and thought leadership.
