About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Communications and External Affairs Officer to lead the strategic narrative and influence that supports the redesign of education systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and operationalizing the organization's external affairs strategy, with a focus on mobilizing stakeholders, building partnerships, and galvanizing national support. This role requires a senior leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience in strategic communications, exceptional writing skills, and a proven track record of shaping national discourse and driving measurable influence outcomes. The Chief will also oversee brand strategy, media partnerships, and thought leadership initiatives, ensuring that all communications reflect the organization's strategic priorities and goals. Key responsibilities for the Chief Communications and External Affairs Officer include serving as the organization's chief narrative architect, leading executive communications strategy, and representing the company as a senior spokesperson. The role demands a deep understanding of brand stewardship, digital strategy, and crisis communications, as well as the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team. While experience in the K-12 education ecosystem is preferred, the candidate should be adept at translating complex issues and be prepared to quickly develop fluency in the education sector. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in organizational impact, and will work closely with the executive team to ensure that all communications align with the company's mission and drive its influence in the education sector.
