Job Summary:

The Outpatient Diagnostic Technologist specializes in performing radiographic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis. The role includes positioning patients, operating X-ray equipment, and ensuring quality images are stored accurately within PACS, all while providing basic patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Position patients and equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, or ankle.
  
  
• 
  Operate X-ray machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring proper image acquisition and documentation.
  
  
• 
  Process and archive images into PACS, maintaining quality control standards.
  
  
• 
  Provide basic patient care, including obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting clinicians as needed.
  
  
• 
  Ensure the exam area is orderly, stocked with supplies, and ready for workflow.
  
  
• 
  Perform selected procedures aligned with Patient Care Standards, including specimen collection and blood draws if qualified.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a current Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the California Department of Health Services (CRT).
  
  
• 
  Maintain current CPR certification.
  
  
• 
  Possess a valid California Fluoroscopy Permit and ARRT licensure.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate EPIC EMR experience.
  
  
• 
  Previous travel or agency experience preferred.
