Restoration Technician

Laundry/Content Restoration TechnicianA successful Laundry/Content Restoration Technician will pack-out contents, enter items into tracking software, operate and monitor laundry equipment and ultrasonic equipment. The Laundry/Content Restoration Technician will inspect, sort, clean, iron, steam and provide all services required regarding contents. The Laundry/Content Restoration Technician prepares and reviews documentation to include notes, photos and documents according to company policies and procedures to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies, as well as explains processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to resolution in person to customers.Job ResponsibilitiesRetrieves work orders for pack-outs, ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on truck needed for job, arrives to work site.Explain processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to resolution in person to customers using printed materials as a guide with or without supervisor.Completes assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job with urgencyPerforms fire/smoke damage repair and tasks to include pack-out of contents, enter items into appropriate software, photo documents all items, use appropriate methods of cleaning and restoration for all items according to company policies and procedures.Ensures equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products are properly handled. Reports any equipment malfunction and or damage to supervisorKeeps workplace clean and organized at all times.Resolves issues with customers, communicates customer issues, daily job activities with supervisor and key company staffPrepares documentation and pictures according to company policies and procedures to ensure reimbursement from insurance companiesJob RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalentExperience in the restoration or construction industry is preferred, but not requiredValid Drivers' License and satisfactory driving recordGood verbal and written and communication skillsGood problem solving and customer service skillsKnowledge of disaster restoration industryMust be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlinesExperience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phoneReport to work on time in a clean, complete uniformRead and follow product label usage instructionsPhysical Demands and Working ConditionsThe physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.
