Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Accounting Manager / Lead Accountant to oversee our day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you will act as the crucial bridge between our operational managers and our offshore data entry bookkeeping team in the Philippines.

You will manage exception resolution, maintain system integrity across our accounting software suite, lead payroll and HR administration, oversee compliance (sales tax and regulatory filings), and collaborate directly with our external CPA firm for tax preparation and financial reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Offshore Bookkeeping Management: Manage the daily workflow and operational relationship with our offshore data entry and bank reconciliation team in the Philippines.
• Exception Resolution: Act as the liaison between field/operational managers and the bookkeeping team to resolve billing, invoicing, and receipt processing discrepancies.
• Sales Tax & Compliance: Manage multi-state sales tax reporting and filings using Avalara , ensuring accurate customer tax statuses and compliance.
• Payroll & HR Administration: Oversee employee onboarding, payroll processing, and benefits administration within Insperity .
• Regulatory & Tax Support: Handle routine regulatory filings and coordinate annually with 3rd-party CPA partners for tax preparation, audits, and end-of-year reporting.
• Systems & Process Optimization: Maintain clean books in Xero , leverage Google Workspace tools, and collaborate with internal AI workflows (Google Anti-Gravity) to automate routine financial tasks.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare internal financial statements, month-end closing packages, and cash flow reports for executive management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years of general accounting, lead bookkeeping, or accounting management experience. Experience in industrial maintenance, energy, or field service industries is a plus.
• Software Proficiency:
• • Xero: Strong hands-on accounting experience required.
  • Avalara: Experience managing sales tax automation platforms.
  • Insperity: Hands-on experience with payroll and PEO/HR platforms.
  • Google Workspace: Proficient with Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Drive.
• Team Management: Proven ability to manage and review work from offshore or third-party bookkeeping teams.
• Problem Solver: Sharp analytical skills to investigate exceptions, communicate clearly with internal team leads, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable operating in a fully cloud-based ecosystem and eager to work alongside modern AI tools and automated workflows.
