Patient Diagnoses: Diabetes, Thyroid Diseases and Adrenal Diseases Special Procedures / Unit Details: Point of Care testing Special Equipment: ***MUST BRING THEIR OWN STETHOSCOPE*** Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC Required Scheduling Type: Per Clinic Needs Unit Orientation: 8 hours, 1 shift to get a feel for the Clinic Scrubs: Not Provided. - Specimen Collection Skills REQUIRED: Labeling of specimens & Urine - UA/Clean Catch
- Laboratory Tests Skills REQUIRED: Blood Glucose via Glucometer & Urine Dipstick/Urinalysis
- Office Duties Skills REQUIRED: Pharmacy calls/patient refill requests & Stocking Supplies
- Professional Knowledge and Skills REQUIRED: Aseptic Technique, Follow up phone calls & Rooming Patients
- Certs: BLS, CMA
- Work Settings Skills: Private Physician's Office
- Injections - Immunizations
- Specimen Collection Skills: Venipuncture
- Professional Knowledge and Skills: Wound Care
- Additional Skills: CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor)
- Average Daily Census/Visits/Day: 40
