You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job Description:The Credit Risk Management Consumer Credit Manager is responsible for developing strategic and tactical recommendations that enhance Regions' ability to increase profitability, while managing overall portfolio risk. The officer is required to work within Regions' risk framework to identify, measure, mitigate, monitor and report on consumer credit portfolios. The position requires the ability to analyze, communicate, and support the implementation of strategic solutions that focus on the best interest of Regions' customers, shareholders and communities.Primary ResponsibilitiesRecommends cohesive strategies that balance consumer loan growth, while managing riskRecommends and implements comprehensive consumer credit policiesProvides governance oversight over Regions compliance with consumer credit policiesProvides business insight and recommendations relating to credit model enhancements and their use in underwritingUtilizes alternative date sources to segment loan applicant data to enhance the depth of Regions customer relationships and improve organic growthDevelops account management and collection prioritization strategiesIndependently reports key risks and emerging riskInteracts with senior management and will act as a liaison to business units on credit review managementDevelops, attracts, and retains talent required to carry out roles and responsibilitiesMentors credit analystsThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is incentive eligible.RequirementsBachelor's degreeFive (5) years of experience in consumer credit risk managementSkills and CompetenciesAbility to evaluate, synthesize, organize, and interpret data and informationAbility to provide direction in underwriting requirements and origination automation strategiesKnowledge of quantitative analysis and static pool analysisStrong technical skills, basic programming and statistical conceptsStrong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillsUnderstanding of Consumer Credit products, industry changes, regulatory requirements and banking lawsThe Credit Risk Mgt Consumer Credit Manager role provides independent oversight of mortgage and home equity credit risk, establishing and monitoring adherence to risk appetite, challenging first-line lending decisions when appropriate, and providing credible risk reporting and governance to senior management and oversight committees.Preferred experience -Extensive experience in consumer mortgage credit risk management, or mortgage portfolio oversight.Strong knowledge of residential mortgage products, including conventional, government, jumbo, and non-QM lending.Demonstrated ability to provide effective challenge and independent risk assessment.Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.Experience interacting with executive management, risk committees, auditors, and regulators.Position TypeFull timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
