Program Quality Engineer Senior - Orlando, FL

Job Summary Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) is hiring a Quality Engineer (QE) based in Orlando, FL. This fast‑paced development environment demands strong technical acumen and critical thinking. Responsibilities Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. Support Integrated Product Teams and various production sites with reviews of quality data on failures, yields, rework, scrap, and non‑conformance aging. Analyze and resolve design, manufacturing, and process issues ranging from basic to highly complex. Attend program corrective action meetings, identify trends, assist in problem resolution, and ensure responsible parties meet requirements and commitments. Participate in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards, including dispositioning non‑conforming hardware, determining containment requirements, and implementing root cause and corrective actions. Perform assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO‑9001 / AS9100. Evaluate design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts on production velocity and quality. Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality‑related issues. Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement. Make the final decision on product acceptability. Support quality operations within a lab environment where products are manufactured, tested, and delivered to end customers. Basic Qualifications STEM degree at the bachelor’s level or higher, preferably in a technical, industrial, or quality assurance field—or equivalent experience or education. Ability to obtain a Secret‑level security clearance. Engineering or quality experience developing methods, work instructions, and procedures for inspection of manufactured products. Understanding of engineering drawing requirements, mechanical and electrical inspection methods. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts to develop and review QE processes and performance metrics. Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues ranging from basic to complex. Experience in dispositioning non‑conforming products. Knowledge of configuration and data management. Ability to travel 25%–50% of the time. Desired Skills Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt). ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and/or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA). Thorough understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Demonstrated team‑leadership skills. Customer relationship management skills. Experience working with government customers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Demonstrated presentation skills. Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration. Effective communication skills—written, oral, listening, and technical writing. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Eligibility & Requirements U.S. citizenship required; position located at a facility that requires special access. Secret security clearance required; candidate must have or be eligible to obtain one. 25%–50% travel required. Full‑time, on‑site position.
