System Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in Austin TX. The ideal candidate will design, deploy, and operates highperformance data center networks to support missioncritical platforms and global operations.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $36/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


System Administrator Job Responsibilities include:

• Deploy, operate, and maintain frontside, backend, and management networks across onprem data centers.
• Design and optimize data center network architectures (leafspine, VXLAN/EVPN) for performance, scalability, and resiliency.
• Support onsite network buildouts, system upgrades, software releases, and security patching.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, rootcause analysis, and coordinate resolution with vendors and internal teams.
• Monitor network health across global sites and participate in L2 oncall incident response.
• Create and maintain network documentation, train L1 support teams, and ensure high availability for missioncritical platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise or cloud data center network infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco and Arista platforms, including Nexus, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, and leafspine architectures (Arista ACE Level 3 required).
• Proven ability in advanced troubleshooting, network design for high availability, and automation using Python/Ansible in missioncritical data center environments.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
