Adjunct Professor, Film and Media Studies Position: Adjunct Professor, Film and Media Studies Department: Academic Affairs Type of Position: Adjunct Faculty Exemption Status: Exempt Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No Starting Salary Range: Adjunct base rate is $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour depending on degree and teaching experience and in accordance with the adjunct pay table listed in the Master Agreement. Adjunct professors assigned to Integration Lecture Lab Instruction like studio photography classes average pay is between $6,300 - $7,400. Position Summary: Johnson County Community College is looking to fill an adjunct teaching position in the Department of Photography, Film, and Media Studies. JCCC is searching for a pool of applicants for an adjunct studio teaching position that will support the Film and Media Studies program through courses in Filmmaking, Media Studies, and Expanded / Experimental Media. The program emphasizes conceptual development alongside technical skills and encourages experimentation and cross‑disciplinary work. Required Qualifications: MFA in Expanded Media, Filmmaking, Video, Digital Media, or directly related field is required. Qualified candidate will have the ability to teach concept‑forward studio projects in analog and digital photography. Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience in higher education is preferred. *Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions.
