VP Of Finance

Location: Ontario, CA (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $200,000 base + up to $80,000 bonus Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly detailed, driven VP of Finance with a strong background in real estate accounting. This role will oversee the full accounting function, lead the accounting team, and play a key role in financial strategy, reporting, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting department, including supervision of the Corporate Controller and Financial Analyst
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close
• Review and analyze monthly apartment operating statements
• Oversee consolidation (roll-up) of all entities, including P&L and cash flow reporting
• Maintain and update operating proformas (minimum quarterly)
• Prepare and deliver quarterly financial and board reporting packages
• Oversee appraisals and loan draws
• Serve as the primary point of contact for lenders and banking relationships
• Prepare ad hoc financial models, proformas, and cash flow analyses
• Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and financial accuracy

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

• Extensive real estate accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Cost segregation
  • Property tax appeals
  • Closing statement journal entries
  • Loan closing journal entries
  • Audit preparation
  • Job costing
  • Corporate banking
• Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Experience working in multi-entity environments

Technical Requirements

• JD Edwards (JDE) experience required
• Strong financial modeling and reporting skills
• Advanced Excel proficiency
