Mechanical Insulation Installer

Job Description

The Mechanical Insulation Installer is responsible for applying insulation materials to a variety of mechanical systems to enhance energy efficiency, prevent heat loss, and protect equipment. This role involves reading technical specifications, cutting and shaping insulation materials, and ensuring proper installation according to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials to mechanical equipment and piping systems
Apply insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam, and reflective barriers
Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine insulation requirements
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently during installation
Inspect work sites and completed installations for quality and compliance
Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate schedules
Adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate protective gear
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
