Security Officer Patrol Alarm Monitor – New York, NY As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. This unarmed patrol role requires you to monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to deter incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour Job Schedule: Daytime Wed 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM Thur 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor movement, assisting with badge checks, directional support, and/or restricted area observations in accordance with site policies. Support emergency and medical response efforts by communicating with site contacts, helping with crowd management, and following post orders for incidents, alarms, and unusual activity. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
