Infusion RN Sr.- Frisco

Overview Texas Oncology seeks an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) for our Frisco location. This full‑time position (Mon‑Fri, 8:30 am–5 pm) requires no weekend work, on‑call duties, or major holiday coverage. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. Assess patient and family needs and provide instruction and teaching. Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction and supervision. Administer all medications and blood products using correct dosage, route, time and technique. Obtain pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms prior to therapy administration where applicable. Facilitate dose modification by assessing labs and consulting protocols or physician as needed. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line devices. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and administered treatments. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications Education/Training: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred). Active RN license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Meeting continuing education requirements. Experience Levels: Level I: 0–3 years of nursing experience (oncology experience strongly preferred). Level II: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (oncology experience strongly preferred). Level Senior: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least one year in oncology; oncology certification preferred. Working Conditions The work environment includes exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other common conditions in an oncology/hematology clinic. Physical Requirements Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, and the ability to stand and walk for long periods.
