L&D Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Must be flexible to cover day shifts if needed, with a schedule flip every 4 weeks.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care in a high-risk labor and delivery unit. The position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage multiple patients during busy shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients during labor and delivery.
• Conduct assessments and administer medications as per protocol.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform necessary procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Current RN license in the state of Alaska (must complete application within 48 hours of signing).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP.
• Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse.
