Physician Peer Review RN Coordinator (not a remote position)

Peer Review CoordinatorCoordinates, organizes, and facilitates Mobile Infirmary Medical Center (MIMC) physician peer review and professional practice evaluation processes. Ensures timely, objective, and confidential review of clinical events, supports medical staff leaders in evaluating practitioner performance, and maintains compliance with all Infirmary Health (IH), regulatory, and accreditation standards.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)3 of the most recent 5 years' experience in acute care clinical settingStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to perform with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentialityProficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and EHR systems (i.e. Epic)Licensure, Registration, Certification:Current Alabama RN licenseCurrent Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama**Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of AlabamaDesired Qualifications:Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)Working knowledge of quality, peer review, risk management, or medical staff services and processesExperience working or coordinating physician peer review in a hospital settingWorking knowledge of clinical care standards and physician practice patternsKnowledge of FPPE/OPPE and Joint Commission standardsLicensure, Registration, Certification:Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) through the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ)Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) through the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS)
