CNC Milling Machinist / Programmer

$26 - $34 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist / Programmer to join our small, dedicated machine shop team in South Milwaukee. This role requires expertise in CNC milling and programming, with the opportunity to grow into a milling department lead position. You will be responsible for writing CNC programs, performing independent set-ups, and maintaining quality control in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

Write CNC milling programs
Plan for tooling needs
Perform independent machine set-ups and adjustments
Operate CNC mills with proficiency and follow quality control procedures
Adjust machine offsets and perform regular QC checks
Collaborate with the small team to maintain efficient shop operations
Support and potentially lead the milling department as opportunities arise
Report directly to the General Manager or Owner

Required Qualifications

Ability to read blueprints accurately
Ability to write CNC milling programs
Experience with planning for jobs
Experience with set-ups in CNC Mills
Proficiency with CNC mills and programming
Strong attention to quality control
Experience with Fanuc controls strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

8+ years in CNC milling and turning
Experience using Gibbs CAM software

Flexible 1st Shift, 8 hr. days, 5 days a week, Monday-Friday. No Weekends

$26-34+/hr depending on experience

Dental/Life/Short Term Disability & paid holidays offered after 90 days

Earn 2 weeks Paid Time Off after 1 year of full-time employment - negotiable for an experienced ideal candidate.

No Health Insurance currently offered, - but will consider supplemental pay towards independent health coverage for the right candidate - Alliance may offer coverage in 2027
