Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a program supporting the Department of Justice (DOJ). This is a highly client-facing role focused on gathering business requirements, documenting business processes, creating functional specifications, and supporting software enhancement efforts within a traditional Waterfall development environment.
The Senior Business Analyst will work directly with DOJ agencies and stakeholders to understand business needs, translate requirements into detailed documentation, and communicate those requirements to development teams. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, strong business writing abilities, and experience creating process documentation, wireframes, workflows, and functional requirements for enterprise applications.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree
7+ years of Business Analyst experience
Proven experience working in a Waterfall SDLC environment.
Strong requirements gathering and business process analysis experience.
Experience creating:
Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs)
Business Process Documentation
Process Flows and Diagrams
Analysis Sheets
Wireframes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders.
Experience translating business needs into actionable documentation for software development teams.
Ability to clearly articulate previous Business Analyst contributions and project accomplishments.
Must be eligible for a DOJ Public Trust. Prior experience supporting federal government clients.
Experience leading or facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Familiarity with FIRMA or asset forfeiture-related systems.
Basic SQL knowledge.
Experience supporting web-based applications.
Experience working with Java development teams.
Knowledge of HTML and wireframing tools.
