26/27 Assistant Girls Tennis Coach (Lincoln College Prep) Job Title: Assistant Girls Tennis Coach Salary Grade: $4500 per season Starting Date: Immediately Reports To: Athletic Director/Building Principal Position Summary: Provide leadership for the school's athletic program through the continuous development, implementation, and enhancement of the sport(s) assigned, while promoting student‑athlete growth, program excellence, and alignment with district goals and expectations. Responsibilities Coordinate the assigned sport with a full team in compliance with MSHSAA standards. Assist in implementing athletic standards as outlined in the MSHSAA Handbook and attend all required MSHSAA sessions. Assist in the coordination of the program. Supervise students at practices and contests. Provide information for transportation, facilities, officials, and game management. Organize and schedule practice sessions regularly to develop student‑athlete potential. Emphasize safety precautions and best training and injury‑management procedures. Conduct team and self ethically during practices and contests, exemplifying sportsmanship. Assist in the systematic return of all school equipment per KCMSD Athletic Department Handbook. Continue professional growth through clinics and professional publications. Successfully complete the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses. Fulfill 8 contact hours of professional development: district meetings 4 hrs, school meetings 3 hrs, outside meetings/clinics 1 hr. Qualifications Must have a Teachers Certificate or a valid Substitute Certificate or a Temporary (provisional) Teacher’s Certificate. Preferred Qualifications Full or part‑time employee in the District. Employed in the school as a teacher or administrator for the position applied for. Physical Demands This job requires the employee to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands and fingers, reach, bend, stoop, and lift objects of at least 25 pounds.
