Neurohospitalist | 7-On / 7-Off Day Shift Schedule | Kansas City Metro

Join an established inpatient neurology program in the Kansas City metro area offering a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule, dedicated APP support, and a collaborative hospital-based practice environment. This opportunity provides focused inpatient neurology care with manageable patient volumes and a structured schedule designed for long-term sustainability.

Position Highlights

• 7-on/7-off block schedule with 182 guaranteed 12-hour day shifts annually
• Manageable inpatient volume with an average daily census of 11-14 patients
• Typical workload includes 5-7 new consults and 6-7 follow-up patients
• Dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant support for rounding, documentation, and discharge planning
• On-site Neurosurgery support
• Inpatient neurology focus including EEG interpretation and emergency department consultations
• No Neuro-IR responsibilities
• Optional additional shifts available at premium rates

Candidate Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology
• Kansas medical license or ability to obtain
• Comfortable managing acute inpatient neurology, ED consultations, and standard EEG interpretation
