Job Title: Diesel Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to work on a year-long contract with Volvo/Prevost buses. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude and experience in maintenance and repair, with a focus on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Remove and replace or repair seats on Volvo/Prevost buses.
• Use OEM software and diagnostic platforms to troubleshoot complex coach systems.
• Run diagnostic tests to identify issues and repair engines, electrical systems, air conditioning, steering, and braking systems.

Shift: 1st shift (7-3:30)

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Experience with hand tools is essential.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have own tools.

Work Environment

This position involves working on Volvo/Prevost buses using OEM software and diagnostic platforms. The role requires hands-on engagement with mechanical systems, demanding proficiency with hand tools. Employees are expected to provide their own tools for the job.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Plainfield, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
