Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher

We are seeking GA Pre‑K Lead Teachers to support our GA Pre‑K program. This state‑funded program supports preschool‑age children. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (ECE) Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field plus a CDA Montessori Teaching credential Associate’s degree in ECE Ability to meet state ECE credit hour requirements Shift & Employment Shift: Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Employment type: Full‑time, 180 days per year. Compensation $41,000 – $55,000 a year, based on education and experience. Hiring Process Resume screening Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes) On‑site interview with center director (30–60 minutes) Q&A Classroom observation Offer Responsibilities Meet state licensing requirements and be physically and mentally fit to care for children at the provider. Ensure the safety and well‑being of each child by maintaining a developmentally appropriate classroom environment and providing appropriate supervision. Plan, supervise, and implement the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the provider. Plan and implement weekly lesson plans based on the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS), Work Sampling Online System (WSO) assessment data and Georgia Pre‑K approved curriculum. Communicate clearly and appropriately with children, parents, staff, and others. Build partnerships with parents by treating them with respect, welcoming them into the classroom, daily communication, parent‑teacher conferences, and providing frequent and varied parent involvement opportunities. Maintain child portfolio and participate in ongoing observation‑based assessments to assess developmental levels of the children. Use BFTS Work Sampling Online – assessment for the children. Participate in staff meetings, recommend training programs, classes, and other aspects of professional growth, and complete training hours as required by the provider and by the state, including after‑hour sessions. Be able to lift up to 30 pounds and see, hear, and respond to children’s needs, reach high, stoop to the child’s level, sit on the floor, and get up. Be able to stand for long periods of time at least 90 % of the day. Perform other duties as assigned.
