Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1-3 years prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 1 to 2 years of prior related manufacturing work experience.
2. Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Metallization and/or coating of glass substrates using various deposition equipment to achieve proper electro-optical surface conditions.
• Surface preparation of pre and post metalized or coated substrates using cleaning agents, solvents and acids to prepare substrates for post-processing.
• Inspect pre and post metalized or coated glass substrates in order to comply with internal and external acceptance criteria.
• Fully proficient in this role and able to work safely with limited supervision, assignments can be moderately difficult requiring independent judgement.
• Maintain accurate record entry through use of onsite Quality Tracking System (QTS).
• Ability to use chemicals (acids, bases, and solvents) and use inspection equipment.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills:

• Able to sit or stand for extensive periods.
• Use power inspection.
• Train to recognize and categorize 40+ failure modes set against a criterion developed for individually designed night vision components.
• Good eye-hand coordination and ability to perform repeat tasks.
• Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• Basic computer skills (MS Office) for data entry and inventory management.
• Ability to use a microscope.
• Good communication skills.
• Teamwork oriented.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision if required.
• Ability to make quality decisions quickly.
• Patience.

Qualification And Education:

• HS Diploma/GED and 4 years experience.
• General working knowledge of Lean and 5S+1 methodology.
• Clean Room protocols.
