Make a difference working as an Occupational Therapist supporting students for the remainder of the school year! This full-time contract position offers you the opportunity to work with a dedicated school-based team near Saint Joseph, MI. You'll play a vital role in helping students achieve their goals in both classroom and home health settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Michigan
- Experience in school-based OT, home health, or other healthcare settings
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet individual student needs
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs in a school setting preferred
- Passion for working with children and supporting educational goals
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both in school and via home health visits as needed
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district guidelines
