Picture your morning: you walk the floor, check in with operations, and dive into a new control strategy youre architecting for a capital machine build. By noon, youre iterating PLC logic on an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix platform, validating I/O, and fine-tuning HMI screens. The afternoon brings a robotics cell teach-in, a servo tuning session, and an Ethernet/IP network design review. You close the day by updating the facilitys digital archive of programs and machine control drawingsclear, complete, and ready for the next challenge.

What you19ll lead

• Own the end-to-end design, install, and technical support of PLC, microcontroller, and IPC-based control systems.
• Develop new PLC logic and perform advanced troubleshooting on Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and SLC families.
• Specify and build control hardware for new capital projects and custom machine builds.
• Engineer support for capital installations, rebuilds, and repairs of electrical equipment and automated systems.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine and gage control systems, integrated automation (including robotics and servo motion), HMI solutions, and plant data collection aligned with company standards.
• Keep supplier PLC documentation current and maintain a facility-wide electronic archive of PLC programs and machine control drawings.
• Design and implement industrial networks, with strong emphasis on Ethernet-based architectures and controllers.
• Participate in the controls support rotation, providing off-shift troubleshooting one week per month.
• Pitch in on additional assignments as directed by your manager.

What you bring

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent; OR 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in lieu of a degree.
• Hands-on exposure (1+ year) to HMI, SCADA, PLCs, and overall control system design.
• Proven programming and commissioning experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix products (required).
• FactoryTalk View ME/SE development experience (preferred).
• Background in robotics installation, programming, and position teaching (preferred).
• Ability to deliver complete, accurate electrical drawing packages.
• A self-directed, analytical problem-solver who thrives with minimal supervision.
