Marketing And Social Media SpecialistThe University of Michigan is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Social Media Specialist to join our Property Disposition and Print Copy Mail Services departments. This unique position will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing strategies and social media campaigns to increase visibility, engagement, and utilization of our services.Job SummaryDevelop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote Property Disposition and Print Copy Mail Services. Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) across various social media platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Analyze and report on campaign performance; use insights to optimize and improve marketing strategies. Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and appropriately apply that knowledge to increase the use of social media. Collaborate with internal teams across both departments to ensure aligned communication and consistent messaging. Engage with the community and stakeholders through social media channels, responding to inquiries, and fostering positive relationships. Design marketing collateral such as flyers, brochures, email newsletters, and other promotional materials. Coordinate special events and promotions specific to both departments. Perform market research to identify new opportunities and competitive market positioning. Track and manage marketing budgets, ensuring cost effectiveness in all initiatives.Required Qualifications*Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience2+ years of experience in marketing and social media managementStrong understanding of digital marketing tools and social media platformsExcellent writing, editing, and communication skillsProven ability to create engaging content tailored to diverse audiencesStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProactive, creative, and team-oriented with a passion for innovative marketing solutionsDesired Qualifications*Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing softwareKnowledge of higher education environment and the services provided by Property Disposition and Print Copy Mail ServicesFamiliarity with SEO strategies and social media growthFamiliarity with data and reporting toolsModes of WorkPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
