Job Description

HumanHire is partnered with a manufacturing company out of Farmingdale, NY who is looking to add a CNC Machinist to their team! This manufacturer has a reputation for promoting a strong work/life balance!

We are seeking a CNC Machinist who will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes with multi-axis, producing complex, high-precision parts, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, selecting tools, and ensuring that all components meet our exacting quality standards.

Salary: Up to $40/hr.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM- 4 PM.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC multi-axis lathes to produce complex, high-precision components, including turning, threading, boring, and drilling operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine tooling requirements, machine setups, and production specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding equipment, while making machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency throughout production runs.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators) to ensure parts meet exact quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize processes, maintain accurate production records, perform routine equipment maintenance, and collaborate with engineering to improve machining efficiency and quality.

CNC Machinist Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC multi-axis lathes in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and machining specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measurement equipment and inspection techniques.
• Experience machining a variety of materials including aluminum, steel, titanium, and plastics.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, maintain quality standards, and support a safe, efficient production environment.
