Diversified Sourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Operator to support daily materialhandling operations in a steel and metals environment. This role is responsible for safely lifting, moving, and staging heavy and oversized materials using overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and related tools. The ideal candidate has strong attention to safety, experience with steel products, and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced warehouse or production setting.
Key Responsibilities
Crane Operation — Operate overhead cranes to lift, position, and transport steel beams, plate, pipe, coils, and other heavy materials.
Rigging & Load Securement — Use slings, chains, hooks, and proper rigging techniques to secure loads safely.
Material Handling — Move materials to staging areas, production lines, saws, burn tables, or shipping zones.
Equipment Inspection — Perform daily crane and rigging inspections and report any issues immediately.
Safety Compliance — Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety procedures.
Documentation — Assist with basic shipping/receiving tasks, tagging, labeling, and inventory updates.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience operating overhead cranes in a steel, metals, or heavyindustrial environment.
Knowledge of rigging practices and safe load handling.
Ability to read work orders, measurements, and material specifications.
Comfortable working indoors/outdoors and lifting 50+ lbs.
Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
Preferred
Overhead crane certification
Forklift experience (sitdown, standup, highcapacity)
Familiarity with steel products (plate, beam, pipe, coil)
COMPENSATION- $19
**All employees must be prepared for a background check, 5 panel Drug screen and show proof of eligibility to work in the US.
