LICENSING SPECIALIST - FOSTER CARE

Licensing Specialist - Foster Care - 60074503This position is responsible for professional work designed to ensure that licensed out of home care services offered by and/or regulated by the Department of Children and Families are of the highest possible quality. The emphasis in the Quality and Innovation Programs in the office of licensing to promote the safety, permanence and well-being of the children we serve. The incumbent in this position is considered to have regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of Florida Administrative Code. Completing the on-site visits, gathering of data, reviewing personnel and client files and upon completion submitting the packet for licensure. Reviews and processes closure notices on foster homes and agencies and initiates action as required by F.S. 120.60 when applicable. Works with CBC's to review licensing complaints or incidents involving violation of licensing standards. Participates in staffing regarding the complaints to determine proper action. Takes part in the approval of any corrective action plan regarding the foster home or agency.
