Job Description: This is a travel RN position for MedSurg/Oncology. The unit consists of 31 beds with a specific staffing model. Patient ratios at night are typically 1:5 or 1:6. The equipment used is standard for medical surgical care, with some traction. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system experience is preferred. Candidates must have BLS certification and experience in post-surgical care. Preferred qualifications include ACLS and oncology chemotherapy experience. The typical procedures performed include general medical surgical tasks, chemotherapy administration, neutropenia precautions, post-operative care, and hospice care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a best fit in personality for collaboration in a medical-surgical environment. Floating may occur within the medical surgical area. The dress code requires royal blue scrubs, with specific guidelines for grooming and personal presentation. Body art must be covered when possible, and visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited. Attendance policies will adhere to company-wide standards. Weekends and on-call shifts are not required for this position.
