This includes our public APIs and SDKs, Q2 Code, the developer portal, developer sandboxes, the marketplace, Tecton (our design system), and our FDX open-banking connectivity. This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market. You will set the vision for the developer platform, partner with engineering on the APIs, tooling, and infrastructure that support it, and make sure our products work together as a single, coherent platform rather than a collection of disconnected surfaces. You will own the developer experience end to end — from the first API call through production integration — for the partners, customers, and internal teams who build on Q2.RESPONSIBILITIESDefine and execute product strategy and long-term vision for Q2's developer platform — APIs, SDKs, Q2 Code, developer portal, sandboxes, marketplace, Tecton (our design system), and FDX/open banking connectivityBuild, lead, and develop a team of product managers — owning hiring, org design, and performance for the functionSet prioritization and pace for platform investment, ensuring the team's execution — working with engineering and scrum teams in an Agile environment — stays aligned to strategy and business goalsCollaborate with cross-functional leaders across engineering, design, legal, risk, compliance, and go-to-market to deliver platform initiativesEnsure adherence to security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy standards across developer-facing products and data connectivityOwn budget, resourcing, and investment decisions for the developer platform functionRepresent Q2 externally with partners, fintechs, and industry bodies (e.g., FDX) on platform and open-banking strategyCommunicate platform strategy, progress, and business impact to executives, the board, and key partnersEXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE12+ years of experience; advanced degree with 8+ years acceptable, including 3+ years leading platform, API, or developer-facing products5-7 years managing and developing employeesStrong background in product management within financial services, fintech, or developer/API platformsDirect experience owning developer platforms or API products — public APIs, SDKs, developer portals, or marketplacesFamiliarity with open banking and data-interoperability standards (FDX or similar) and financial-data access/consent models preferred but not required.Proficiency with Agile development, API/platform architecture, and data or analytics toolingExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsThis position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Health & WellnessHybrid Work OpportunitiesFlexible Time Off Career Development & Mentoring Programs Health & Wellness Benefits, including competitive health insurance offerings and generous paid parental leave for eligible new parents Community Volunteering & Company Philanthropy Programs Employee Peer Recognition Programs – “You Earned it”Click here to find out more about the benefits we offer.Our Culture & Commitment:We’re proud to foster a supportive, inclusive environment where career growth, collaboration, and wellness are prioritized.
