Logistics Manager

We are representing a Fresh Produce Importer / Shipper that is searching for a Logistics Manager to join their team, on-site in Miami, FL. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for identifying the most efficient means of moving the customers freight, resolving client conflict and building valuable relationships with carriers.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with carrier contracts
• Negotiate rates with carriers.
• Develop and monitor policies and practices to ensure compliance.
• Ability to make phone calls and spend an excess of 4-6 hours on the telephone every day.
• Track and trace responsibilities.
• Update and maintain logistics management system.
• Able to work both independently and with a team.
• Analytical and logistics planning.
• Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions.
• Achieve individual, team and company objectives.
• Assist in the development of SOPs and ensure SOPs are being followed.
• Interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
• Provide supervision, guidance and support to all team members regarding operations, procedures and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
• 3-5 years of experience. Produce experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work successfully in a team-based environment.
• Extremely organized and detail oriented.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to negotiate freight rates, sell services and build professional services via phone and email.
• Strong communication (both verbal and written) problem solving and decision-making skills.

Salary: $70 - $100K, Medical Benefits, 401K
