Job Description
COVID/FLU VX REQ.

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Performs laboratory diagnostic tests, which are both routine, moderately and highly complex. Evaluates the effects that a patient's physiological condition may have on test results. Confirms test results and provides the physician with data necessary to determine the presence, extent, cause and treatment of disease. Follows quality control programs, assuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. Monitors, maintains and trouble-shoots laboratory instruments and equipment. Assists with training of new employees/students, or in the use of new lab equipment. Is able to interact with physicians and nursing staff in a positive manner. Performs computer functions on both the HIS and LIS systems. This assignment is to work in the Clinical Chemistry section. Third shift hours are 1030p - 7am - every third weekend.
