Job Description

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating an exceptional experience for every patient by:

? Welcoming and interviewing patients while gathering medical history.

? Measuring and documenting vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight.

? Preparing treatment rooms and assisting providers during patient examinations.

? Maintaining accurate patient documentation within the electronic medical record.

? Delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring comfort, privacy, and professionalism.

? Communicating effectively with patients, providers, and fellow team members.

? Maintaining annual competencies and supporting a safe, efficient clinical environment.

? Performing additional duties as assigned to support the success of the practice.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

? High school diploma or equivalent required.

? Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.

? One year of patient care experience preferred.

Required Certifications

Candidates must hold one of the following certifications:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

Through one of these nationally recognized organizations:

American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
American Medical Technologists (AMT)
National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
MedCA
National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Additional Requirements

? Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

? Strong computer skills.

? Excellent written and verbal communication.

? Ability to accurately observe patients and follow detailed clinical procedures.
