Shift: 1st shift – Overtime as needed

Position SummaryWhile reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing the duties of manufacturing polyethylene parts through the use of rotational molding machinery You will take pride in your hands-on abilities, analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail while supporting ThermoSafe’s operational excellence.Key Responsibilities

• Follow the company procedures and the manufacturer’s recommendations for operation of the equipment.
• Monitor the molding machinery, molds and the associated equipment. Immediately report to the supervisors any actual or potential problems.
• Provide day-to-day maintenance on the molds to insure quality molded parts.
• Strive to perform efficiently, work to maximize output from the machinery.
• Maintain all tools and equipment in optimum working condition.
• Keep all jigs, fixtures, and molds clean, waxed and properly adjusted. Report any needed repairs to the supervisor immediately. When a job is completed, thoroughly clean all equipment before warehousing.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area.
• Make recommendations for procedural changes as necessary.
• Continually practice safe operation and handling of all equipment, raw materials and products throughout the entire plant.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate effectively with superiors, peer and subordinate employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in multiple step instructions by oral, written, or drawn communication. Ability to deal with standardized situations with many potential variables.
