Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent training specific to CVOR procedures
• Prior experience working as a CVOR Tech in a hospital or surgical center setting
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and CVOR-specific protocols
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during complex cardiovascular cases
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons
• Detail-oriented approach and commitment to patient safety standards

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room with all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures, ensuring all protocols are followed
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping prior to surgery
• Provide efficient and effective support to the surgical team during complex cardiac and vascular surgeries
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and promptly respond to instrument or supply requests
• Participate in post-operative clean-up and ensure proper handling of specimens
