Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. We are hiring for a Systems Administrator to join our Digital Technology (DT) team in Tucson, AZ. The DT organization ensures that Raytheon teammates across the globe are able to communicate, collaborate and innovate for customer success. We create leading-edge technology solutions to prevent security threats, secure the integrity of our systems and support IT infrastructures around the world. What You Will Do: Provide IT systems administration support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. Experience with Windows Server or Linux systems, including core services such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and basic server roles. Work as part of a collaborative team in a fast‑paced environment. Use established troubleshooting techniques to resolve moderate to complex technical issues involving operating systems, hardware integration, and enterprise services. Support data storage and backup operations, including RAID concepts and backup/restore technologies. Install, configure, and support software applications requested by end users. Partner with Cybersecurity teams to maintain system security requirements, follow established processes, and assist with documentation and training for IT procedures. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as operational needs evolve. Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start. Systems operate 24x7 and may require occasional work outside standard business hours. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field. Experience working with Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Active Directory WSUS, VMware, MECM, Exchange, system administration, network administration, Windows or Linux server support, and enterprise backup/recovery tools. Qualifications We Value: DoD 8140 / 8570 certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent), including OS‑specific certifications. Experience supporting compliance activities such as NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, or DoD/RMF. Experience with Windows Server administration. Experience with data storage technologies, including NAS and SAN solutions. Experience working within an IT project lifecycle or structured process environment. Experience with VMware products such as vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi or other virtualization platforms. Experience supporting engineering teams working on software, simulation, or hardware development. Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, Skype, SharePoint, and/or Exchange. Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or similar). The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
