Monitor Technician

Job Summary and Qualifications

1. Continuously monitors electrocardiograph recordings on a central station monitor.

2. Maintains patient record according to hospital policy.

3. Communicates effectively with staff supervisors, ancillary departments and other customers.

4. Maintains neat and organized work area

5. Attends required annual and job specific education opportunities.

6. Performs additional duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

Experience

Required:

• Previous experience in healthcare setting.

Preferred:

• Previous monitor technician experience

Education / Credentials

Required:

• Satisfactory completion of Basic Cardiac EKG Class

Other Required Qualifications

• BLS Certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
